Privacy Policy

Downriver Makerspace is a pre-launch project. We do not have a physical location yet, and the only information we collect is what you type into the waitlist form.

What we collect

Only what the waitlist form asks for. First name and email address are required. City, ZIP code, areas of interest, expected usage, budget range, and free-text notes are optional — the form works without them.

We do not collect payment information on this site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

How we use it

To email you about the status of the space — location candidates, founding-member milestones, and launch.
To decide, in aggregate, what equipment to buy and which area to sign a lease in.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not send marketing on behalf of anyone else, and we do not add you to unrelated mailing lists.

Who processes it

Formspree — receives and stores waitlist submissions and forwards them to us by email.
Cloudflare Pages — hosts this site and processes standard server request logs.
Google Analytics 4 — aggregate, non-identifying traffic measurement. IP addresses are anonymized by GA4 by default. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.

Each of these is an independent company with its own privacy policy. We do not control their practices.

Data retention and deletion

Retention. Waitlist entries are kept until the earlier of: (a) you ask us to delete them, or (b) 24 months after your submission. If the project is cancelled, or if the founding-member threshold is not reached and we wind the effort down, we delete all waitlist data within 60 days of notifying the list.

Deletion and access. Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your entry, correct it, or send you a copy of it. We will action it within 30 days and confirm by reply. No account or login is required, and there is no cost.

Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing removes you from the list entirely.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to its processing. We extend the rights described above to everyone who asks, regardless of location, because honoring them for one list this small is not a burden.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Google Analytics sets a first-party measurement cookie. Declining it does not affect any functionality on this site.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and email anyone on the waitlist before the change takes effect.
